Who We Are & What to Expect
We at First United Methodist church of Bossier city are all about connecting people to God's love and grace. You'll find throughout this website some of the ways we offer to help you get plugged in to a life of meaning and significance. Our Worship Times Are:
Sunday at 8:30 AM - Traditional Service - Sanctuary
Sunday at 10:45 AM - Blended Service - Sanctuary
Sunday at 10;45 AM - "Soul Feast" Contemporary Service - Fellowship Hall
Sunday School is for all ages and meets at 9:35 am on Sundays, between the two worship services.
Arriving
Visitors may park in the designated Visitor parking area near the front of the church. Please enter the double doors to the right of the visitor area. Greeters will welcome you at the door and direct you to the worship area or the children’s area. Click here for a printable floorplan of our facility.
Bring the Kids
We provide a nursery for children under the age of four. A children’s sermon is incorporated into the main worship services and then they are dismissed to go to Children’s Church.
Several groups meet during the week for Bible study.
United Methodist Women meet once a month.
The United Methodist Men’s Prayer Group meets on Wednesday morning at 7:00 AM for a devotional, prayer and breakfast.
A very active youth group meets on Sunday nights and at other times during the week for activities.
On Wednesday evenings we gather in the Fellowship Hall for our supper at 5:00 PM. There is something for everyone, including children and adult choirs and children’s program. At 6:00 PM we invite you to attend the “Encounter” worship service in the sanctuary. A praise band leads the music with praise courses and an inspiring and relevant message is presented. (Casual clothes for Wed. evenings.)
